I so enjoyed creating this piece because it kept surprising me at every stage, and making me stretch as an artist. I had no idea how to accomplish the effect I wanted, but the answer came to me in a dream. I stood back and watched the glass stack itself, one behind the other to show me how to get rid of cumbersome and distracting lead lines. The art piece turned out to have four, sometimes five, layers of glass, and I love the effect it created.
